George was born about May 1843 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on May 24th, 1843 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   George's father was William Charles Henn (Fisherman) and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandfather is Richard Henn and his paternal grandmother was Ann Dunsdon. He had two brothers named William and George.  He was the second oldest of the three children.
