Dorothy Mary Flavel

Dorothy was born on November 30th, 1905 in Dagenham Essex. Dorothy's father was James Richard Flavell (T 86) and her mother was Susan Elizabeth (T 86). She was an only child. She died at the age of 81 on January 21st, 1987 in Romford Essex.

General Notes
- Many thanks for the latest communications, first I can confirm that my parents were married at St Margaret's Church Barking. When my wife saw the photo of Eliza Simmans she thought that many of her features were similar to my father. I was very pleased to have the plot numbers at the Rippleside cemetery, when I was about six years old my mother regularly took me there to lay flowers (from the back garden) at several graves including what my mother called the Walker family grave I knew that my grandmother Hannah was buried there but I was not aware that my uncle Arthur was also there, my father told me that he was severely disabled, and that he was unable to walk and my father would take him onto the streets in a wooden barrow. Unfortunately going to the cemetery did not into 1941because the back garden was turned over to produce vegetables, keeping of chickens and rabbits due to the food shortages during the war. (oh for the good old days!). I believe that there was some family dispute to why my grandfather was not buried with Hannah, just to complete the picture my mothers father James Flavell is buried in plot T 86, they died within 9 days of each other
