Clara was born about 1858 in Merstham Surrey.  Clara's father was James Bennett (Bricklayer) and her mother is Harriett (Born America New Brunswick).  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Bennett (Bricklayer) and Elizabeth. She had a brother and a sister, named William and Fanny.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  Clara is no longer alive.
