Thomas was born on February 23rd, 1725 in Stone, Staffordshire, England.  Thomas' father was Thomas BOX and his mother was Anna PADMORE.  His paternal grandparents were John BOX and Jane DOD.  He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Gulielmus, William, George, Maria, Ann, Jane and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 75 in 1800.
