Catharine was born in 1873.  Catharine's father was Stephen A. WALKER and her mother was Barbara Alice DISSER.  Her paternal grandparents were John WALKER and Nancy NORRIS; her maternal grandparents were Michael (Sr.) DISSER and Catherine ANSTEATT.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named Lawrence E., John M., William, Martin, Stephen, Florence, Mary E. and Barbara.  She was the oldest of the nine children.
