Birthie was born in December 1898.  Birthie's father was Richard M. RIVERS and her mother was Sarah L. LNU.  Her paternal grandparents were Frederick W. RIVERS and Cyntha M. KNIGHT?.  She had a brother and a sister, named Mallalin and Birdie.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
