Mrs. Douglas Archer of Cragmont avenue, Berkeley And her son, Douglas Archer Jr., are being welcomed home from Scotland, where they have visited for the past seven months. Four months of their visit were enjoyed in Edinburgh, and Mrs, Archer took an active part in a political campaign in that city. While in the British isles Mrs. Archer's book of poems, - "Jock Tamson's Bairns," was accepted for publication by Gowan and Gray of Glasgow and London. A song also was accepted.
Another interesting experience of the Berkeley matron was the at attendance at an informal garden party at Holyrood Palace, and an informal meeting with the Queen and Duchess of York.
