Death of John M. Rennie: John McKehan Rennie departed this life on the 19th of December, 1885. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on the 16th of November, 1838.
He came to the United States and settled in Selma in 1866. On the 19th of February, 1879, he married Angelet Irene Carr, to whom he has ever been true, kind and faithful. He has had many business connections in our city and his last employers feel his loss, for he has always been diligent, faithful and earnest in all his business connections. He was a prominent member of the Knights of Honor, Knights of the Golden Rule, American Legion of Honor, Ancient Order of United Workmen,
and died the worshipful master of Central City Lodge No. 305 of Masons, who honored and respected him when at labor and wish him piece and happiness in eternal refreshment.
