James Rennie deserter

James Rennie was brought up for drunkenness at Great Fenton. It turned out that the prisoner was a deserter from the Royal Engineers, when the charge of drunkenness was dismissed and he was remanded to gaol with a view of the War Office authorities being communicated with.
