Hugh Hamilton magistrate

newspaper article
WHO JUMPED JIM CROW? YESTERDAY, at the Election of Magistrates, Mr Hugh Hamilton had Nine Votes; the evening before, when truly the election was made, it is confidently asserted he had Ten. It is not denied that the gentlemen bound themselves to vote on Friday as they did on Thursday; but the result shows that one did not. Who is he? Who ratted? Who jumped Jim Crow?
