Theophilus (John) John Paterson & Helen Cunningham

‌John and Helen were married in a commitment ceremony on November 18th, 1809.¹ They had five sons and three daughters, named Alexander, George, James, John, Malcolm, Margaret, Jean and Helen.

Family Notes
- Irregular marriage.
  On 3rd June 1810 they were "severely admonished and rebuked" and the marriage was confirmed. Presumably because first son Alexander (b 23 Sep 1810) was on the way and they decided to have the marriage acknowledged by the church.
