Agnes' father was James White and her mother was Mary Galloway.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Galloway and Helen McLauchlan. She had two sisters named Helen and Agnes.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Robert.  She died at the age of 1 in 1866 in Hamilton.
