Krestin Jensen Svejgaard

Krestin was born on October 23rd, 1872.  Krestin's father was Jens Kristensen and his mother was Gertrud Kristine Larsen.  His paternal grandparents were Krestin Jensen and Bodil Poulsdatter; his maternal grandparents were Lars Christian Pedersen and Dorthe Rasmusdatter.  He was an only child.  He died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 86 on February 22nd, 1959 in Otting.  He was buried at Otting kirke.^1 2

    Bacame owner of 'Dannehave' farm through marriage (he knocked down the original farm, which may have been called Søndergården, built the new 500m away, reusing some of the stones. Dannehave ('Garden of the Danes') reflects his strong nationalistic feelings.
