Christina's father was Andrew Milligan and her mother was Agnes Graham McAlpine. Her maternal grandparents were William McAlpine and Agnes Walker Graham. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Andrew, William and Agnes. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 1 in 1914 in Glasgow.
