Cathrine's father was John MacQueen and her mother was Ann Mcintyre.  Her paternal grandparents were John McQueen and Mary Connell. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Donald, John, Archibald, Ann and Margret.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, pthysis, duration 2 years, at the age of 36 on December 14th, 1862 in Kilbrandon-Kilchattan.²
