Annie's father was John Graham and her mother was Jessie Dale.  Her paternal grandparents were George Graham and Susanna McMurn. She had four brothers and four sisters, named George, John, Alexander, Robert, Agnes, Jessie, Susan and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.
