John Edward

John was born in 1838 in Renfrewshire.¹ John's father was Robert Edward and his mother was Helen Drummond. His maternal grandparents were William Drumond and Mary Tours. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Andrew, William, Mary, Margaret, Agnes, Catherine and Janet. He was the third youngest of the eight children.
