Eliza C. Chittick

Eliza was born on December 21st, 1842 in Northern Ireland.^1 2

    But 1900 census says born Dec. 1849
    
    21 on 10-Jun-1869. so born between 11-Jun-1847 and 10-Jun-1848
    
    Son William G. Wray's 1930 census lists parents' birthplace as Norhern Ireland

Eliza's father was John Chittick and her mother was Jane Devitt. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Margaret, Mary and Catherine.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died due to a medical problem, stomach trouble, at the age of 62 on November 29th, 1905 in Whitemarsh.  The funeral took place on December 2nd, 1905 in Whitemarsh.  She was buried on December 2nd, 1905 in Whitemarsh.^3 2 4

    Janice Bennett checked their indexes of marriage announcements, to see if there had been one for William Wray and Eliza C in the 1860's and there wasn't any listing in that index.  The HSMC's index only pertains to announcements that were published in the Norristown newspaper.  There was no death notice for Elizabeth Wray in 1905, but there was some mention of Eliza C. Wray's death (date of death, 29 November 1905; date of publication, December 1).
