  • "After an illness of several months, Mr Samuel Stubbs Jr. passed away at his residence in Caledon Village. He was the last surviving member of a family of five. He was a son of the late Samuel Stubbs and Sarah Morrison. He spent his boyhood days in Caledon, then lived in Detroit for 16 years operating a successful taylor shop in Royal Oak, Michigan. Later he moved to Alberta and returned to Caledon a few years ago where he spent the remaining years of his life. Funeral held a Caven & Dodds, Alton on June 25th, 1955 with internment at Forest Lawn Orangeville. Pallbearers were Harold, Lockwood and
    Gordon Stubbs of Alton, Erroll  and Delbert and Dr. W.F.R. Stubbs of
    Caledon. He is survived by his wife Ella Coleman and several nephews"
