Serena was born in 1798.  Serena's father is Tecumseh (3/4th Shawnee-Creek Metis) and her mother is White Wing Nancy “Big Nancy” Cornstalk (1/2 Shawnee Metis).  Her maternal grandparents are Nenpemeshequa-Wneypuechsika-Stout Man-Young Chief Cornstalk II and Elizabeth See. She has three sisters named Paukeesa, Adjala and Skwato.  She is the third oldest of the four children. She has a half-sister named Nancy Little Nancy.
