Gilbert Russell Ross

Gilbert Russell was born on December 30th, 1849. Gilbert Russell's father was James Ross and his mother was Sarah Mannion. His paternal grandparents were Chief John Kooweskoowe Ross (Ani'-Tsi'skwa = Bird Clan (Ghi-Goo-ie)) and Quatie (Elizabeth) Hare Hair victim Trail of Tears Brown (Cherokee). He had a brother and a sister, named James and Susannah Coody. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 66 on July 25th, 1916 in Tahlequah, Cherokee, Oklahoma.
