Joseph Marshall

Joseph was born about 1814 in North Carolina. Joseph's father was Joseph Davis Marshall and his mother was Sarah Catherine Samuel. His paternal grandparents were Martin Marshall and Eleanor Boswell; his maternal grandparents were Edward Samuel and Susannah Hill. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Elizabeth, Edmund, Hamilton, Thomas D., Henry D., Anne E. and Sarah C.. He was the oldest of the eight children.
