Alexander Marshall

Alexander was born in 1848 in Franklin Township, Des Moines Co., Iowa. Alexander's father was Oliver Marshall and his mother was Susannah Edgington. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Marshall and Eleanor Ashenhurst; his maternal grandparents were George Edgington and Mary. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William T, Benjamin, John Taylor, Silas E, Clarinda, Elizabeth, Melinda Ann, Cassandra and Sarah. He was the eighth oldest of the ten children.
