    Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Jan 28 2004 - Erma R. Hardie, 94, Naples, Florida, died Monday, January 26, 2004, at the Hospice Home Care in Naples, Florida. She was born August 18, 1909, in Fairland, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Marshall and Bertha Ann Riley Chambers. She spent her younger years in Oklahoma, spent several years in Clinton and moved to the Pittsburg area in the early 1970s. She married William Hardie June 21, 1930, in Girard, Kansas. He preceded her in death May 24, 1972. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Countryside Christian Church, the Order of the Amaranth & Beauceants. Survivors include three sons, Bob Hardie, Riverside, California, Rex Hardie, Naples, Florida, and Bill Hardie, Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Marshall, Harold, Riley and Bobby D. Chambers and three sisters, Fern Boone, Kathleen Tickner and Roberta Wright. Graveside services will be Friday, January 30, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg.

    Daily Democrat, Clinton MO, Dec 3 2004 - A memorial service for William Thomas "Bill" Hardie, 70, Granbury, Texas, will be held Saturday, December 4, in the chapel of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. The retired real estate broker and homebuilder died Wednesday, December 1, 2004. He was born April 24, 1934 in Pittsburg, Kansas, and grew up in Clinton. He moved to Fort Worth in the late 1950s. His parents and a brother Robert, preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife Loretta, Granbury; brother John Rex, Naples, Florida; daughters, Cynthia, Linda and Vickie; son Bryan; stepsons John and Tom Allen, and eight grandchildren
