William Carr

William was born about 1730 in Spotsylvania Co, VA. William's father was Capt William Carr Gent and his mother was Elizabeth poss Winston. His paternal grandfather was William Carr and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Chiles; his maternal grandparents were James William Winston and Barbara Overton. He had four sisters named Susannah, Ann Winston, Sarah and Mary. He was the oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Walter Chiles, Thomas Dabney and Mary. He died after 1793.
