Denver Aubrey Yeck

Denver Aubrey was born in 1917.¹ Denver Aubrey's father was Audy Andrew Alexander Yeck and his mother was Maggie Esther Margaret Daniel. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Yeck and his paternal grandmother is Katharine Brouder; his maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Francis Lee, Jackson, Andrew, Infant, Bonnie E., Michael Emerson, Josie, Winona and Ruby M. He had two half-sisters. He died at the age of 85 in 2002.

  Denver A. Yeck, Sr., 85, of Monon died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at his residence. He had been ill for about a month.
  
  He was born April 10, 1917 in Minden, West Virginia, the son of Esther Margaret Daniels and Andy Yeck. His marriage was to S. Alberta Postan. She died April 1, 1983.
  
  He worked at the former Monon Stone Quarry and several other stone quarries for several years. He also had worked at Northway Products in Rensselaer for 7 years.
  
  He was a World War II veteran, serving with Battery A 138th FAB.
  
  He moved to the Monon area in 1953 from Minden, W.V.
  
  He is survived by 1 son, Denver A. Yeck, Jr. of Wolcott and a daughter, Sheila Yeck, of Monon and one brother, Emerson Yeck of Columbus, Ohio. One son, four brothers, one sister and two half sisters are deceased.
  
  He had 3 grand children and five great grandchildren. Two great grandchildren are deceased.
  
  Services were Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Pastor Gary Roberts officiating.
  
  Burial was in Chapel Cemetery.
  
  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
