Anne was born about 1768 in PA.  Anne's father was Joseph Workman and her mother was Phoebe McRay Mechmeher.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Workman and Annetje Smith; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Mechmeher and Agnas Norton. She had nine brothers and a sister, named Abraham, James, James, Nimrod, Jacob, Moses, Isaac, Joseph, Thomas and Phoebe.
