Doctor Franklin was born in 1813 in Robeson Co.  Doctor Franklin's father was Isham Isom Williamson and his mother is Margaret Powell.  His paternal grandparents were Lewis Williamson and Mary. He had a sister named Mary Ann.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 56 in 1869.
