    Elizabeth Ward, born, 1790. Married Elijah Sutton and John Cox.
    Samuel Ward, born 1788, died Oct. 1834. Married Sallie Earwood and Ester Davis.
    Bryant Ward, born 1796, married Temperance Stansel. Both buried at Sulphur Bend Cemetery, Ottowa County, Oklahoma.
    Charles Jackson Ward, born 1798, died Ca. 1862. Married Nannie Cross, Ruth Hollingsworth and Mary Elvira Henslee.
    Nannie Ward, born 1794, married Stephen Carroll and Thomas Monroe.
    Susie Ward, born 1792, married William England.
    George Ward born 1787, died 1863. Married Lucy Mayes both buried at Joe Ward Cemetery, near Jay, Oklahoma.

    In a book "The River Trail, A Saga of the Cherokee Removal" by Jane B. Noble, the written journal of Lt. Harris gives a day by day account of the movement of a group of Cherokees to Indian Territory arriving in May 1834. This group includes Bryant Ward, Polly E. Ward (Mary Elvira), Ruth Hollingsworth Ward, Susie Ward England, Samuel Ward and Charles J. Ward. At some point in time Charles J. Ward returned east to N. Carolina and Georgia. The family of Charles J. Ward and Polly appear on the Chapman Roll of 1851, near Murphy, N. Carolina. Charles J. ward and family No. 1390-1396.

    Julius R. Ward, born 1852, died 1858.
    Charles Rufas Ward was born at Murphy N. Carolina. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at Cleveland, Tennessee during the Civil War. He served in the 5th Tenn. Mtd, Infantry, was wounded at Spring Place, Georgia in Oct. 1864. After his mustering out at Nashville in 1865 he went to Maury County, Tennessee.
    
    He married, 1st, Catherine Ray and they had the following children:

    Ella J. Ward, Dawes Rejected #1014, born IT, Nov. 21, 1871, died Aug. 4, 1961. Buried Sherrod's Valley, Lauderdale Co. Alabama.
    
    Matilda, Martha, Mary Elvira, Benjamin, Mary Elvira Henslee Ward, age 60, and their families appear on the 1870 Maury Co. census at Culleoka, Tenn. Charles Rufus and George are believed to be in Sumner Co. Tenn.
    After 1870 the families moved to Flint District, IT, near Stilwell. Martha C. Ward Cloud and her husband James M. are buried at New Hope Cemetery, Stilwell. Mary Elvira Ward and her husband John W. Holland are buried at Ward"s Grove Cemetery, Foyil, Oklahoma. Matilda Ward is buried at Oak Grove.
