Thomas Tharpe was born about 1695 in Essex Co., Virginia.  Thomas Tharpe's father was Thomas Tharpe Thorpe II and his mother was Florinda Goode Goad.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Tharpe Thorpe Sr and Alice; his maternal grandparents were Richard Goode Goad and Sarah Parker.  He was an only child.  He died about 1764 in Essex Co., Virginia.
