Thomas was born in 1720.  Thomas' father was Col John Tabb and his mother was Mary Sclater.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Tabb and Mary Heyward/Howard Howard; his maternal grandparents were Rev James Sclater and Mary. He had a brother and four sisters.  He died at the age of 39 in 1759 in Elizabeth City Co., VA.
