    Would like to connect with descendants of Robert "Pete" Marshall Steele, born in Indiana in 1851 (son of Thomas Steele and Rachel Fouts). His children were James, Margaret, Mary, Thomas, and William. I understand William was a Soil Conservationist in Vermont. Especially curious to know if anyone has information as to where the "Marshall" name comes from, as it has been used throughout several generations, and no one knows where it originated. I am currently corresponding with a descendant of James. We have much family information to share, and would like to learn more! Thanks!
