Elizabeth was born on March 20th, 1791 in Pendleton, Anderson Co., SC.  Elizabeth's father was William Steele and her mother was Esther Love.  Her paternal grandparents were Aaron Steele and Violet maybe and or Polk Alexander. She had four brothers and a sister, named Aaron, Joseph, James, William and Mary Love.  She died at the age of 65 on August 20th, 1856.
