James Marshall was born in 1852.  James Marshall's father is Pleasant Sinclair and his mother is Mary Polly Harmon.  His maternal grandparents were John Harmon and Mary Polly Pendleton. He had a brother named John Alexander.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 43 in 1895.
