Richard Robert was born on September 18th, 1753 in Frederick co., Va.  Richard Robert's father is William Robert Rankin and his mother is Margaret Peggy Marshall.  His maternal grandparents were John of the Forest Marshall (Group 14 Kit 69236) and Elizabeth Markham.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 84 on November 30th, 1837 in Landry Parish, LA.
