Letitia was born in 1728.  Letitia's father was Col John Preston and her mother was Elizabeth Patton.  Her maternal grandparents are Henry Patton and Sarah Lynn. She had a brother and a sister, named William and Margaret.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 69 in March 1797.
