Absalom was born on June 22nd, 1793 in Stokes Co, N.C..  Absalom's father was Richard Pratt and his mother was Rebecca Beavers.  His maternal grandparents are William Beavers and Abigail Hampton. He had a brother named Hopkins.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 52 on July 9th, 1845 in Bibb Co Al.
