Gen. John Pope

John was born on March 16th, 1822. John's father was Sec Nathaniel of Illinois Terr Pope and his mother is Lucretia Backus. His paternal grandparents are William Pope and Penelope aunt of ninian edwards Edwards. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Penelope, Elizabeth, Lucretia and Cynthia. He died at the age of 70 on September 23rd, 1892.
