Obediah was born in 1764 in NJ.  Obediah's father was William Pitman and his mother was Hannah Kimble nee Loker Kimble.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Pitman and Charity Danford; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Loker and Mary Hill. He had two sisters named Syche Psyche and Sarah.  He died at the age of 51 in 1815 in Belmont Co. Ohio.
