    According to PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VIRGINIA, WILL BOOK G, 1778-1791, by June W. Johnson, he signed his will on May 22, 1781, and it was presented in Court on August 6, 1781, so he died between those two dates. He made bequests to his sons and daughters Timothy Peyton, Mary Matson, John Peyton, Frances Peyton, Betty Marton, Thomas Peyton, and to a grandson, Robert Peyton. Henry's surviving wife was Margaret. She is said to have been nee' Margaret Gallaher, and I have no reason to doubt that that is correct, but I do not know the source. Henry's first wife was Ann Thornton. The proof of that is in the following deed:

Henry Peyton .. corner to William Faulin’s land .. to the line of Agatha Chinn .. hickory In Burgesses line .. corner to Faulin .. 254 acres. . .
