William was born about 1710 in Charles Co., Maryland.  William's father was William Immigrant Penn Gent and his mother was Mary Chandler. He had a brother and two sisters, named Mark, Anne Mariot and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died on May 7th, 1753 in Charles Co., Maryland.
