Col Gideon commanded a Cherokee regiment Morgan Jr

Gideon was born on August 6th, 1778 in Preston, New London, Connecticut. Gideon's father was Gideon Morgan and his mother was Patience Cogswell. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Morgan and Rachael Kibbe. He was an only child. He died at the age of 73 on September 17th, 1851 in Calhoun, Tennessee.
