Parks was born in 1770.  Parks' father is Holland Middleton and his mother is Sarah Middleton.  His paternal grandfather was William Middleton and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Teare; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Middleton and his maternal grandmother is Penelope Hatton. He had a brother named Benjamin.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 88 on September 28th, 1858 in Choctaw Co., Mississippi.
