Gen. William Martin

William was born about 1781 in Williamson Co., TN. William's father was Rev William Martin and his mother is Rachel Dalton. His paternal grandparents were Col Joseph Immigrant Martin Gent and Susannah Giles Childs>>?? Chiles; his maternal grandparents are Samuel Dalton and Ann Redd. He had a brother and five sisters, named Samuel, Nancy, Sarah, Susanna Chiles Childers, Virginia and Polly. He died on September 28th, 1843 in Stokes Co., NC.
