Zachariah was born on April 11th, 1798 in Kershaw, South Carolina.  Zachariah's father was Capt James of Kershaw Marshall (Group 3) and his mother was Charity Parrish.  His paternal grandfather was John of PA Marshall and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Jeremiah Parrish and Mary Tiller. He had a brother and two sisters, named Benjamin, Jane and Sarah. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, James, Thomas M, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Susannah and Margaret.  He died at the age of 62 on May 22nd, 1860.
