Viola was born in 1881.  Viola's father was John Costello Marshall Jr and her mother was Ada Sophronia Mobley.  Her paternal grandparents were John Costello Marshall Sr and Margaret A Oliver. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard L, WIlliam Larkin and Cora Lavice.  She died at the age of 20 in 1901.
