Thomas was born about 1712 in Morumsco, Somerset Co., Maryland.  Thomas' father was Adrian Marshall and his mother was Elizabeth Long.  His paternal grandparents were George Marshall and Adria Potter. He had a half-brother named Isaac.  He died before June 20th, 1786 in Somerset County, Maryland.
