Mary was born in 1695 in Nantucket, Nantucket Co., MA.  Mary's father was Joseph Marshall and her mother was Mercy Mary Short.  Her paternal grandparents were John James of Scotland to Boston Marshall and Ruth Hawkins; her maternal grandparents were Clement of Boston Short and Thankful. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Hawkins, Ruth, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had a half-brother named Joseph.  She died at the age of 70 on December 11th, 1765 in Nantucket, Nantucket Co., MA.
