Martin Pickett was born in 1777.  Martin Pickett's father was Rev William Marshall and his mother was Mary Ann Pickett.  His maternal grandparents were William Pickett and Marshall. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lewis, Thomas, George, William, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Susanna and Jane.  He died at the age of 76 in 1853.
