Laurie Hester was born in 1859.  Laurie Hester's father was Robert Nelson Marshall and his mother is Catharine Childers. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin Wesley, James Walter, Robert Lee, Elizabeth  Mehala Lizzie, Rebecca J and Sarah W.  He died at the age of 70 in 1929.
